Despite being a busy channel with a deep passage and good shelters for small and large boats, around Thay Yae Island is rich with beautiful coral reefs and sea grass beds.

Really miss you, dugong.. my mermaids.

แม้จะเป็นช่องแคบที่มีการจราจรค่อนข้างคับคั่ง เพราะมีร่องน้ำลึกและมีจุดจอดเรือหลบคลื่นลมได้ทั้งเรือเล็กเรือใหญ่ แต่โดยรอบเกาะเตเยนี้ นอกจากจะมีจุดดำน้ำตื้นที่งดงามแล้ว ยังเป็นแหล่งหญ้าทะเลที่ยังอุดมสมบูรณ์อีกด้วย
