We leave the Shark Island behind, enjoy our lunch on board and have another 2-hour long distance journey. The boat route is quite near the northward trip many days ago but a little more westward. In the picture above, Nga Mann or Shark Island in the north is on the left, the big island on the right is Nyaung Wee, many small islands with Lampi Island in the background are in the middle. 

เราออกจากเกาะฉลาม รับประทานอาหารเที่ยงบนเรือและออกเดินทางไกลอีกครั้ง ๒ ชม. กับการเดินทางย้อนลงใต้ ใกล้เคียงกับเส้นทางขาขึ้นเมื่อหลายวันก่อน แต่อยู่ในแนวตะวันตกมากกว่า ในภาพข้างบนจะเห็นเกาะงะมาง์หรือเกาะฉลามที่อยู่ทางเหนือตรงด้านซ้ายของภาพ เกาะขนาดใหญ่ทางขวามือ คือ เกาะญอง์วี ส่วนตรงกลางที่เห็นลิบๆ คือ เกาะเล็กเกาะน้อยที่มีเกาะลาง์ปิเป็นฉากหลัง

To the east, We pass the 115 Island where we had our first overnight stop.

เราผ่านเกาะ ๑๑๕ จุดพักค้างคืนในคืนแรก ทางตะวันออก

But If we look to the west, there is no nearby island for an hour. The nearest one is Nar Nat Thee Island (နာနတ်ထီး) in the foreground of the picture above, The island at the back is Hlaing Gu (လှိုင်ဂူ) or Carven Island. 

แต่ถ้ามองไปทางตะวันตก จะไม่เห็นเกาะอะไรอยู่ใกล้เลย กว่าจะถึงเกาะนานะอ์ที (နာနတ်ထီး) ที่เห็นอยู่ด้านหน้าในภาพข้างบน ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้ที่สุด ก็อีกชั่วโมงกว่า ส่วนเกาะที่ซ้อนอยู่ด้านหลัง คือ เกาะลายง์กู (လှိုင်ဂူ) หรือ เกาะคาร์เฟน

Beyond the southern tip of Hliang Gu Island, it is a channel called Investigator Channel connected to the Indian Ocean with the width of about 10 kilometers.

แล้วพอพ้นปลายใต้สุดของเกาะลายง์กู จะเป็นช่องทะเลเปิดออกสู่มหาสมุทรอินเดียที่เรียกว่า ช่องอินเฟสติเกเตอร์ หรือ ช่องสำรวจ มีความกว้างประมาณ ๑๐ กิโลเมตร

If we sail from the Indian Ocean through this channel, the first island in front is Shwe Khunn Gyi, our next stop. (arrow in the map above)

ถ้าเราล่องเรือมาจากมหาสมุทธอินเดียผ่านเข้ามาในช่องแคบนี้ เกาะแรกที่ขวางทางอยู่ตรงหน้า คือ เกาะชเวจูง์จี จุดหมายในช่วงบ่ายของเราวันนี้นั่นเอง (ลูกศรในแผนที่ข้างบน)
